The final nail biting instalment of Supernatural Season 5 was released in the United Kingdom on September 6th 2010 by Warner Brothers.
Created by Eric Kripke (Battle of the Sexes, Boogeyman) and executively produced by McG Who also produced The O.C. and more recently Chuck). Supernatural series 5 part 2 is an essential view for thrill seeking viewers.
Supernatural Season 5 : The Story So Far
After their mother was murdered by a mysterious demonic force twenty-three years ago, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) are raised by their father as soldiers. They join him in his war against the evil forces that lie stealth in the backstreets of America.
Since learning from their Father how to slay these demons, the brothers have spent their lives patrolling the highways in their 1967 Chevy Impala searching for revenge. However, their success has come at a price and now the Demon’s have a bounty on the brothers and intend their own kind of retribution.
Sam and Dean have recently faced the catastrophic aftermath after Lucifer's rising. This has lead them to come face to face with a demonic Paris Hilton, futuristic viruses and real life Grimm’s fairy tales.

As Season 5 of Supernatural continues in this 3 disc DVD set, the boys face an itinerary of terror. In Dead Meat, a teenage nerd conjures up a dangerous body-switching spell and changes places with Sam. It's fun and games for the teen, whose real incentive for the body switch may have severe repurcussions for Dean.
Meanwhile, Sam tries to deal with his Freaky Friday scenario and makes some grim discoveries in the boys possessions and that his friends have ulterior motives into wanting to get close to the brothers.
This episode features some great scenes from Jensen Padalecki and Colton James who spend the duration of the episode body swapped. Grey’s Anatomy’s Sarah Drew plays a great support role as love-lorn teenager Nora who makes a stunning character transformation part way through the episode.
Supernatural Time-Travel's back to 1978 with Julie McNiven
The drama continues in In The Song Remains The Same. The angels send Anna (Julie McNiven) back to 1978 to kill John and Mary Winchester before they can conceive Sam. Knowing that if Sam was never born, Lucifer won't be able to use him as his vessel. Angel Castiel takes Sam and Dean back to 1978 so they can stop Anna, but both have more than a battle on their hands when they attempt to change the course of history.
There are some touching and amusing scenes here as the brothers are reunited with their mother (Amy Gumenick) and father (Matt Cohen), while Julie McNiven steals the show as the fallen angel on a mission. Viewers will also notice some subtle Back To The Future references in this time-travelling episode.
Will Good Conquer Over Evil in Supernatural Season Finale?
The rest of Season 5 features townspeople who mysteriously start killing for love and even trouble closer to home when the brothers close friend Bobby is reunited with his dead wife and refuses to let go.
By the time The Horsemen of the Apocalypse arrive, the focus is set on the future and in a stunning two part finale the Apocalypse is finally upon them, will good really conquer over evil?
Supernatural features some excellent acting from its stars and support cast and is real edge of the seat drama, subtly sprinkled with occasional humor to relieve the tension.

New viewers, as well as long term fans will find themselves drawn into the thrilling action and this conclusion to Season 5, spread over three discs, is a very entertaining collection.
