A Brief Synopsis Of Doctor Who: Serpent Crest - Survivors In Space
In the three months since the village of Hexford was ripped from the Earth and sucked into outer space the villagers have turned to Captain Mike Yates and the peculiar man calling himself The Doctor (who mysteriously appeared in his second incarnation) for leadership and support. But even loyalties to the once championed Doctor are now becoming fraught as some of Hexford's residents are suspecting him of been in league with the aliens who have snatched them and their village from Earth.
As morale and supplies dwindle, the future looks bleak, until the TARDIS materialises on the village green, and The Doctor (in his fourth incarnation) and Mrs Wibbsey emerge to help.
However before the missing Skishtari egg can be recovered there is the question of who is attempting to break through Hexford's protective force field and is the second incarnation of The Doctor all he appears to be?
Tom Baker's Enigmatic Presence Suits Doctor Who Audio Perfectly
Paul Magrs' Doctor Who: Serpent Crest series draws to a climatic close with lots of action and exciting dialogue designed to keep the listener's attention throughout the story.
David Troughton again joins the cast as the visitor who appears to be an earlier incarnation of The Doctor. However; the presence of this earlier incarnation arouses everybody's suspicions, including the listener, as to whose side he is actually on.
Troughton's exchanges with Tom Baker are particularly enjoyable and again he successfully succeeds in emulating the glint of mischief his own father Patrick Troughton displayed when playing The Doctor.
Despite the ensuing chaos, Tom Baker's Doctor still asserts control of the situation. Baker shows how well his Doctor suits audio drama, turning back time to the 1970s with his enigmatic presence and booming but soothing voice.
